ABBOTT NUTRITIONAL APP

The Abbott Nutritional App is a tool for understanding and responding to your patient's nutritional requirements.

It has 4 main features:

1. Estimation of nutritional requirements, including energy, protein and fluids, based on the PENG Pocket Guide to Clinical Nutrition

2. Nutritional screening tools - direct access to screen your patients for malnutrition and/or muscle loss using 'MUST'* ('Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool'), R-MAPP (Remote Malnutrition App in Primary Practice), PRONTO (PROtocol for NuTritional risk in Oncology - new!) Pedi R-MAPP (Paediatric Remote Malnutrition App - new!) and STAMP (Screening Tool for the Assessment of Malnutrition in Paediatrics - new!).

3. Access to the Direct-to-Patient Sample Service.

4. Access to the Product Compendium.

Abstract: The R-MAPP app is an adaptation of the R-MAPP (Remote – Malnutrition APP)1 guidance created by European experts in clinical nutrition in response to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis as a tool for the remote evaluation of nutritional status for COVID-19 outpatients, those in the recovery phase of the disease and for all patients that need nutritional care, but cannot visit their physicians in person. It could be suitable for every situation in the future that might limit the availability of healthcare system to broaden scope.
