Abstract:
Nutrition is fundamental in the healthy development of infants, but it can be challenging for those with cow’s milk protein allergy (CMPA). The diagnosis of CMPA is complex, consisting of diet elimination and oral food challenge. The prevalence of CMPA can be both under and overestimated, as many parents refuse the oral food challenge which prevents infants from a diagnosis. HCPs should be aware of symptoms, prevalence and management of CMPA. In this video, Dr Yvan Vandenplas offers expert advice on diagnosing CMPA.
