Abstract:

Cancer, its therapies, gastrointestinal (GI) function, and malnutrition have a complex and challenging relationship. This session explores that interplay,  providing real-life clinical insights into tailored management strategies, including the role of peptide-based nutrition.

Andriana Petrova is a registered dietitian with over 7 years of experience, specialising in oncology, including prehabilitation, based in London. She has special interest in the role of muscle and nutritional status in health outcomes including cancer treatment effectiveness, survival, and the value of nutritional interventions to improve those outcomes. Andriana has presented at national and international conferences, co-authored scientific articles and has written multiple articles in Complete Nutrition (CN) magazine. She serves on the BDA Prehabilitation Subgroup Committee and the BDA PENG Group.
